with my right hand I went to a hand specialist on Monday and he said that I have tenosynovitis which means that the tendons are swollen. I have to wear a splint 24 hours a day for the next four weeks and if there is no improvement then I might have to have surgery on my hand. The doctor also gave me a cortisone shot which helped with the pain.

Gosh that sounds painful. My youngest son got one of those steriod shots last Wednesday in this left wrist joint. He broke both wrists in Nov and the left one is not healing right. He may have to have surgery also. Maybe you two can comiserate together. He was impossibly grumpy when he first broke both wrists and he couldn't do anything for himself. I feel for you. If they do do surgery, what will they do? TB

"tenosynovitis?" I never heard of that. What causes it? Wow sounds like we are all going through one thing or another. Thank God for our angels. I will say a prayer for you my buddy.

Barb it means that the tendons and outer linings are swollen and it was caused by me falling and hitting the base of my thump on the banister. I tripped over my own feet coming in the door.LOL
